Endy Mattress

Q: Endy Cooling Comfort Foam vs memory foam: What's the difference?

Endy mattresses are made from high-quality, high-density Endy Cooling Comfort Foam, which is different from memory foam. Compared to traditional memory foam, Endy mattresses have: High Responsiveness: While memory foam lets you sink into the mattress, Endy Cooling Comfort Foam adapts to your every move for optimal support throughout the night. This is important to prevent back, shoulder, and neck pain! Better Breathability: No more night sweats! Endy's open-cell foam allows air to flow freely through the mattress to cool you down. By keeping you at the perfect temperature, Endy mattresses help you achieve a deeper, more restful sleep. Incredible longevity: Memory foam mattresses run hot—and the extra heat causes them to break down and lose density over time. In comparison, Endy mattresses are made with high-density temperature-insensitive foam, so they keep their perfect firmness for years and years. Learn about our 15-year warranty.

Enjoy a great night’s sleep!

Yes, the Endy Mattress is great for hot sleepers and it's one of the top reasons Canadians choose Endy. Unlike traditional memory foam, which has a dense, closed structure that retains body heat, Endy's open-cell structure lets air circulate through the mattress continuously. This makes it a strong choice for hot sleepers who have previously had bad experiences with memory foam mattresses feeling warm through the night.

The Endy Mattress is designed with cooling in mind. Cooling is a core feature, not an add-on. The Endy Cooling Comfort Foam combines an open-cell structure — which is used in each foam layer to allow air to pass through the mattress — with a cooling gel infusion that helps dissipate body heat as you sleep. The result is a mattress that maintains a consistent temperature through the night. Endy's foam is also temperature-neutral, meaning it won't soften or stiffen based on room temperature, a useful quality across Canadian seasons.

Both mattresses use Endy's cooling gel-infused, open-cell foam for a cool sleep. The main difference for hot sleepers is that the Hybrid Mattress uses Endy Cooling Comfort foam in two layers and also adds a layer of pocket coils beneath the foam, which creates additional channels for air to circulate through the mattress. If you're a very warm sleeper, the Hybrid offers a step up in breathability. The original Endy Mattress is still a strong performer for hot sleepers, but if temperature regulation is your top priority, the Hybrid is worth considering.
