10 Years of Endy: A Conversation with Jason Cassidy, our President

We sat down with Jason for an open and insightful chat about the company's unique connection with Canadians, lessons learned over the years, and where the future will take one of Canada’s most beloved brands. What drew you to Endy?I’m Jason Cassidy, and I’ve been at Endy since the spring of 2024, although I’ve been following the brand closely since 2015. Everything about Endy Mattresses resonates with me: its role in improving overall health and wellness, the local manufacturing, and the commitment to be the best. The concept of a Canadian company innovating the mattress-in-a-box space was bold, but it felt approachable, too. Plus, my family has owned Endy products for years, so there was a personal connection there.And in my personal life? You’ll usually find me playing hockey, coaching my two daughters, checking out new restaurants, and spending time outside being active with friends and family.One year in, what continues to surprise you about Endy?Hands down, it’s the way Canadians love this brand. You can feel the excitement from our customers when we release something new, whether it’s a product, a store opening, or even a campaign online. Canadians cheer for Endy in a very real way that I’ve never seen before. It’s incredible to see how much trust people place in Endy, and to know that our products are truly making a difference in their lives.You mentioned your family owns several Endy mattresses. What role does Endy play in your personal life?My family has been an Endy household for years. Both of my daughters sleep on an Endy, and I have the Hybrid Plush in my own room. Some of my favourite moments are spent reading to my kids before bed (or, let’s be honest, sometimes we watch cartoons on the iPad instead), and Endy is part of those everyday routines.Like any kids, my daughters don’t always love going to bed [laughs], but I feel good knowing they’re getting the best possible sleep to keep growing happy and healthy.Jason with his wife and two daughters wearing semi-formal attire at the beachSpeaking of growth, what are you most excited about for Endy’s future?I’m excited to keep growing with our customers and designing products that fit their evolving needs—whether that’s moving from a condo to a house or furnishing more bedrooms.We’re also expanding beyond the digital space, bringing Endy to more brick-and-mortar stores across Canada. Canadians deserve easier access to high-quality sleep, and we’re committed to delivering that—both online and in person. And third, I’m excited to see how the Endy team keeps finding new ways to innovate and show up for our communities. I’ve never met a group of people who care so much—or know so much—about things like foam breathability, durable fabrics, or making sure returned mattresses get donated to people in need. It’s honestly inspiring to work with people so committed to making sleep better, one thoughtful step at a time. And we have big things brewing in that department for 2025!Why do you think Endy resonates so strongly with Canadians?We’ve built this company on trust and simplicity, and I think that resonates. Everything we do comes down to respect for the modern Canadian consumer. We offer fair pricing, high-quality products, and fast delivery with no strings attached. Canadians like brands that feel familiar, with services they can rely on. When they buy from Endy, they know it’ll be great, and if there’s an issue? We’ll take care of it.And of course, there’s the Canadian pride. Everything about the way we operate feels authentic to who we are as people and as a country. But what sets us apart isn’t just our heritage; Endy is youthful, positive, and energetic. It’s a brand that people want to associate with because it looks and feels fantastic.Endy is celebrating its first decade. What does this milestone mean to you and the team?Honestly, it’s humbling. Most businesses don’t make it to their 10th anniversary. To be here, serving Canadians, 10 years later feels like both a privilege and a responsibility.At the same time, I believe this is just chapter one. When I think about the next 10—even 50 years—I see a company that continues to listen to what Canadians want and surprises them with high-quality solutions to improve their sleep. From designing new products to building more brick-and-mortar stores, we’re going to keep showing up in new and exciting ways. I’m not supposed to talk about it yet, but I can tell you right now there’s something big planned for fall 2025!Any final thoughts for Canadians as you look ahead to the next 10 years?More than anything, I just want to say thank you. Every time I visit a city like Halifax or Edmonton or Quebec City, I hear the same things from customers. “I know the brand, I love the brand, and I already own something from Endy.” That trust? That enthusiasm? We don’t take it for granted.Endy wouldn’t be where it is today without the support of Canadians. So, thank you for being part of the journey, and let’s keep dreaming big!
